Okay, so let me fill you in a bit more about this calendar. There are essentially two components at work.
The calendar itself has well over 130 tips, reminders, and suggestions that are geared toward getting you better prepared for emergencies. Quick little snippets like, “Start planning the spring garden” or “Research your county’s emergency plans, so you know what to expect.”
Each month has a QR code embedded in the photo. Scanning it will bring you to a page here on this site. There, you’ll find a boatload of additional information that was just too lengthy to include on the calendar, such as:
–Monthly book suggestions, both fiction and non-fiction
–Informative and educational essays and articles
–Links to videos and other resources
The intention is to provide you and your family with as much information as possible to keep you safe and secure, come what may.
Plus, as many of you know, my wife and I have been going on hikes every single week for several years now. The photos for each month were taken by my wife or I on some of those hikes. For those who might be interested, we’ll be sharing information about the location for each of these photos.
Day by day, month by month, you’ll find out more and more about the various aspects of preparedness. You’ll see prompts to remind you to stock up on food, water, and other supplies. You’ll also learn practical skills that you can apply in your daily life as well as during a crisis.
Prepping is a journey. Let us help guide your way.
